The Chesney Street Project returns to the studio this September to record the companion soundtrack for If I Only Had a Brain—the documentary.
Featuring new jazz arrangements and the musicians from our June 12 performance, the recording captures the sound and spirit of Chesney Street Project in its purest form.
Submitted to Sundance, SXSW and other film festivals, the documentary follows the remarkable story behind the music, while the album brings that story to life through every performance.

Chesney Street Project is a refined jazz quartet featuring trumpet, piano, string bass, and drums/percussion.
Inspired by the lyric restraint and cool sophistication of the West Coast jazz tradition, the group offers a modern interpretation of classic cool — intimate, elegant, and deeply atmospheric.
